Sleek, aluminium fronted unit ready to plug into your hi-fi. Evening Standard, September 2000
If you’ve not come across digital radio before, you soon will, if the kit on show at the Live 2000 show at Earl’s court last weekend is anything to go by.
Officially known as digital audio broadcasting, or DAB, digital radio has been on air for five years without anyone noticing, because receivers cost megabucks. Which is a shame as audiophiles rave about the sound DAB pumps out - better than CD, many say.
New units at the show bring the price down radically. VideoLogic’s British-built DAB-tuner, costing £300, is a sleek, aluminium fronted unit ready to plug into your hi-fi. A small LED screen shows details of what’s playing. It should be in the shops in November - ring 01923 277488 or surf to www.videologic.com for the techy stuff.
