ALL THE BENEFITS OF DAB
The DAB transmission standard provides high-quality,
interference-free digital audio without the hiss, crackle and
fade of AM/FM broadcasts. One touch autotune locates all
available DAB stations. Select stations by name and list them
alphabetically or by most listened to. Scrolling text shows
additional data such as song titles, artists’ names, programme
descriptions, news headlines and more.
WIDE VARIETY AND CHOICE OF STATIONS
Up to twice as many stations are available in many areas as via
FM. UK stations broadcast digitally include national BBC Radios
1-4, BBC Radio 5 Live, Classic FM, talkSPORT and Virgin Radio,
plus local and unique-to-digital stations.
DUAL ALARMS
Two easy to set alarms mean you can have different alarms
for you and your partner, different alarm settings for weekdays
or weekends, or set a backup alarm just in case you sleep
through the first. Alarms can be set to different stations or
to a simple alarm tone.
SNOOZEHANDLE®
One touch SnoozeHandle to snooze the alarm or illuminate the
full-screen clock for night-time viewing.
SLEEP BUTTON
Sleep button switches TEMPUS-1 off automatically after 15,
30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. Set the alarm as well and you can
fall asleep to one station and wake up to another.
AUTOMATICALLY SET CLOCK
Clock is automatically updated from a broadcast DAB time
signal, so you don’t have to set it or worry about resetting it
when the clocks go forward or back.
RECORD TIMERS
Nine record timers allow you to record your favourite radio
shows to a separate recording device. Set regular daily,
weekdays only or weekend only record times so that you
never miss your favourite programmes, or one-off record
times for special programmes. For timed recording you will
need a recorder with an optical input that supports syncrecord,
such as a MiniDisc or CD-R recorder, or a recorder
with a timer of its own.
USB CONNECTOR
USB connector enables you to download software upgrades
from an internet-connected PC, enabling TEMPUS-1 to support
future updates to the DAB service.
