PURE is the company that revolutionised DAB radio in the UK, providing high-quality DAB radios for under £100 when the competition was charging between £300 and £1,000. As a result, the PURE EVOKE-1 was the hottest seller when it arrived last autumn. The new model is battery or mains-operated and, unlike its predecessor, comes with stereo speakers. It still has the same pleasing retro design that helped make the EVOKE-1 such a hit. The EVOKE-2 has an FM tuner built in so that if you happen to move out of a DAB reception area you can still listen, in stereo, to analogue FM. It has six DAB presets and six for FM and can play for 10 hours on battery power.
